On qualifying LayerLock Timberline Lifetime shingles for a single-family detached residence owned by individuals, the manufacturing-defect term is Lifetime and the Smart Choice non-prorated Protection Period is 50 years. During Smart Choice, GAF pays the full reasonable cost of labor to repair or re-cover defective GAF Product(s) and provides replacement products (or reasonable cost); tear-off labor is included if necessary, and disposal is not paid. That labor is for covered manufacturing defects — System Plus is not a workmanship warranty. It also includes full roofing system coverage on qualifying GAF products, 25-year StainGuard Plus Algae Protection with a 15-year non-prorated period, WindProven Limited Wind Warranty with no maximum wind speed limitation, and free warranty transfer to the next homeowner if you sell.
